ScottWorld was founded by Scott Rose in 1992, one year before he graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Psychology. In addition to being a certified FileMaker developer & Mac expert, Scott Rose is one of the top professional speakers for Apple Computer at their events nationwide, he is the national columnist of Mac|Life Magazine's "Ask" column, and he also has a second career as a professional improviser, host, & comedian with a critically-acclaimed one-man comedy show called "Computer Geek: One Nerd's Search For His Soulmate".

While attending UCLA, Scott used his psychology background to study how people interacted with their computers and their software programs.
Scott used this knowledge to design user-friendly programs for his classmates with FileMaker Pro 2.0, and he also provided training sessions for fellow students. Outside of the computer lab, Scott was seen as a regular speaker & performer on campus, which led to his current professional speaking expertise.
| In 1994, Scott started marketing his services outside of the UCLA campus by walking door-to-door down La Brea Avenue and handing out homemade brochures to the businesses of Los Angeles. The response was overwhelming, and Scott's company started to boom.
By 1996, ScottWorld had grown so much that Scott could no longer handle the business alone. He started hiring other experts to fill the demand, including consultants like Roy Dahlke.
And today, ScottWorld has dozens of satisfied clients, hundreds of incredible success stories, and thousands of hours of unparalleled expertise.

Scott Rose's extensive Mac knowledge has been recognized by the second largest Mac magazine in the nation, Mac|Life Magazine, as they hired Scott in 2007 to be the columnist of their monthly "Ask" column, answering tech questions for their 110,000 readers across America.
ScottWorld is a proud member of the FileMaker Solutions Alliance, an elite group of the best FileMaker developers in the nation. And we are thrilled that many of our writings have been published in the nationally-acclaimed FileMaker magazine, FileMaker Pro Advisor.
ScottWorld is also a member of FMDiSC (FileMaker Developers in Southern California), the fastest-growing and most highly-respected localized group of FileMaker developers in the United States.
