Wendy braun <wendybraun@yahoo.com> los angeles, ca USA - Friday, April 07, 2000 at 02:24:44 (EDT) Hi Scott, From reading the other comments I see that you really are the "problem solver" that you seemed to be on Catalina Island. If ever in Tucson... Adrienne <violets229@earthlink.net> Tucson, AZ USA - Friday, March 24, 2000 at 22:03:02 (EST) ScottWorld reach far beyond mere "user friendliness." Mr. Rose has staked out a new arena in cyber solutions I call "USER EMPOWERING!" As the resident MIS guy at my mail order catalog company and my wife's chain of vegetarian restaurants, Scott makes me a hero in the eyes of many. At National Gym Supply (http://www.gympart.com), Scott transformed our quarterly update/filtering database from a week long project that every one dreaded into a half-day project that everyone fights for the opportunity to take on. Yes, Scott transformed a boring laborious task into something fun that people look forward to! At Real Food Daily (http://www.realfood.com) Scott created an awesome Menu Maker program that creates our changing weekly menu on the fly. The menu is unique for both restaurants and formatted it for our fax service, our in house print menu and HTML for our website, all in one breath. What used to take hours now takes minutes. Plus, I'm left with a neat and clean database of our menu history! And again, it's actually fun to use. Many of our people, who are so computer phobic they lay glue traps by the mouse, are now cranking out complicated productions with no support from me! Scott has empowered me and my people to be more creative and productive. User empowering! That's ScottWorld. Thank you Scott Rose for being on this journey we call life. Rob Jacobs, Vice-President of National Gym Supply and Director of Repairs and Marketing at Real Food Daily. Robert Jacobs <rob2000@sprynet.com> Santa Monica, CA USA - Tuesday, December 28, 1999 at 07:50:43 (PST) After making numerous calls to FileMaker Pro consultants, I was lucky enough to find ScottWorld. I was panicky and desperate for an immediate solution to an emergency situation -- our database was mysteriously eating our data!!! In addition to solving the mystery of the disappearing data, we needed someone who could quickly discern the needs of our organization and design a database to better suit our needs. Immediately, Scott put me at ease and assured me that there was indeed a solution to our horrible situation. Within a very short period of time, Scott began the process of designing a new and completely improved database for our organization. We now have a custom database to suit our very complex needs and we couldn't be happier with the outcome! ScottWorld was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend them to anyone! Thank you so much ScottWorld! From everyone at the State of the World Forum. Elena Goss <elena@worldforum.org> San Francisco, CA USA - Thursday, August 05, 1999 at 20:44:49 (PDT) scott, you rock... thanks for the insight and solutions. manu <tidalrecords@earthlink.net> venice, ca USA - Thursday, August 05, 1999 at 17:25:00 (PDT) I just wanted everybody to know how great ScottWorld is. Scott came in and solved ALL of my problems. He's not only knowledgeable, but a really nice guy too. Keep up the good work! Joe "E" Arata <Fuji3@webtv.net> Minot AFB, ND USA - Monday, November 02, 1998 at 23:23:29 (PST) Scott has never ceased to amaze with his passion . I don't care what he ventures into I always want to be involved with someone like him. It is too bad most people only know him from the net. I don't virtually know him, I know him. Not that he has any time for his friends, because he is always working but someday he will need a drink JOEY CHANG <changang@earthlink.net> USA - Wednesday, October 21, 1998 at 01:19:40 (PDT) There are two ways we can meet a difficulty: either we can alter the difficulty or we can alter ourselves to meet it. Scott is very adept at either...making him "The Solution". There's not a problem in existence that Scott and Mac can't handle...that's because he has already solved it...or he's working on it! Jay Taylor <jaybirdjt@earthlink.net> North Hollywood, CA USA - Tuesday, October 13, 1998 at 00:46:16 (PDT) Scott, Long time no see. I am married now and have a little girl. Jackie Zak <jzak@getty.edu> Los Angeles, ca USA - Tuesday, September 22, 1998 at 13:02:02 (PDT) Scott has been a best friend to me for well over a decade. I am not surprised by his success, for he is charismatic, dynamic, and extremely honest. I am trying to run my own PC software company out here in Boulder, Colorado, and Scott has helped give me many ideas on how to make it more successful. Scott and I often argue about the Mac vs. PC and we always conclude the same thing: the Mac is a better machine, but I am stuck with my PC. I am now convinced that I need a new iMac! I have been a die-hard PC guy forever, and for me to be interested in a Mac says quite a bit about Apple's comeback. Aaron Schacht <aaron@aerdyne.com> Boulder, CO USA - Tuesday, September 22, 1998 at 09:58:49 (PDT) see? HTML ain't so hard! congratulations on a great Web site... Thanks for mentioning your experiences in high school television production -- and for giving GBS-TV a link on your web page. Those were great days, Scott. Take care, and best of luck. --Ferg (Scott's high school television instructor) Mark Ferguson <mferguson@glenbrook.k12.il.us> USA - Friday, September 18, 1998 at 19:10:55 (PDT) Yeah Buddy!!! Good work. Can I apply to be a netizen in Scottworld? Peter Dana <peter313@yahoo.com> Venice Beach, CA USA - Friday, September 18, 1998 at 18:44:57 (PDT) Scott, you are a great guy! Great website! Noah M. Pines <noah@therametrix.com> USA - Friday, September 18, 1998 at 10:33:31 (PDT) looks great! love ya...xoxo lisanne <lisanne@earthlink.net> Pas-a-de-na, CA USA - Friday, September 18, 1998 at 09:29:30 (PDT) Since Scott was 2 years old, he had an insight and drive for learning. By 4 years old, he composed a piece called, "The Storm" on the piano. It seemed that he was born to be a pianist/composer. That was until a few years later when the Apple Computer was brought into his home. His life was never the same again. The piano remained idle, but his fingers still kept moving and his brain continued composing in a different sense. He was constantly composing thoughts and ideas for his Macintosh Computer. He has always been driven by his motivation, creativity and hard work. He went on to be the President of ScottWorld that with each day becomes more successful. Scott's talents are numerous and with his outgoing personality, it enables him to reach out to people and accomplish what he sets out to do. With his new website, it is just another forward direction Scott has taken. Scott is the greatest and so is his website. I know that for a fact...because I am his Mom. Esther Rose <esteerose@aol.com> Glenview, IL USA - Friday, September 18, 1998 at 09:03:56 (PDT) Well, of course I had to sign this! I knew Scott well back 10 years ago while we were still both making our way through high school; Scott was a class act then, and he's just as much of one now. The site looks great... best of luck for continued success, and if and when you even make it back to the Midwest, make sure to look your old friends up! Russ La Croix Still Hanging Out in Illinois Russ La Croix <rlacroix@poweruser.com> Wheeling, IL USA - Friday, September 18, 1998 at 05:54:04 (PDT) Yeah, uh... What is this "Mac" thing you guys are talking about? I thought only IBM made computers. Who are you guys anyway? Well, sounds cool though. Awesome website mah bruthas! Drew Wicks <Druissa@aol.com> USA - Friday, September 18, 1998 at 01:27:10 (PDT) Scott's amazing "tune up" of my Performa was so amazing and taught me so much that not only did I promptly pay the lovable guy his fee, I bought him a big vegetarian dinner. Over a big plate of Pad Thai noodles Scott showed me the wonders of Claris Emailer, may it live forever!, and all the nifty tricks of the MAC OS 8.0. It was one of the best nights of my life. I don't get out of the house much - people scare me - so it's always fun to have a nice someone from the "real world" bring a little life into this dreary hovel I call home. Thanks Scott. Come over anytime. The Pad Thai you left here in January is still in the 'fridge and it's got your name on it. I was bald and fat. Things couldn't have been worse. That's when I met Scott. He immediately turned things around for me. He spotted me the cashola for hair plugs, and put me on a rigorous workout schedule. Today I'm happy, fit and my scalp has almost completely healed. Thanks, Scott. You're the best. And he also helped me with my Macintosh. All of my hard work to build The Actors' Network would have been futile if I hadn't found ScottWorld in December of 1995. They're the best. Kevin E. West <kevin@actors-network.com> Studio City, CA USA - Wednesday, July 29, 1998 at 00:07:10 (PDT) Recently, Mr. Rose had opened my PowerBook to only notice how slowly my processing was responding. He recommended that we do what he called a "Spring Cleaning." I basically understood it to be the equivalent to a "tune up" to the motor of my computer. Mr. Rose, unfortunately, did not have the cable that would connect my PowerBook to his desktop. He ordered it with haste. After overnight delivery, Mr. Rose quickly cleaned my computer making it the Speedy Gonzales of PowerBooks! Arriba! Arriba! Thanks Scotty, for the fastest PowerBook this side of the Pecos! Paulo Andres <paulo@actors-network.com> Studio City, CA USA - Tuesday, July 28, 1998 at 23:45:23 (PDT) If it wasn't for ScottWorld, Scott wouldn't have enough money to take off and act in video projects. If he wasn't able to act in video projects, he wouldn't have starred in "Prom Pudendum," my first video project at The American Film Institute. If he hadn't starred in my first video project at AFI, the project would never have been as good. If it hadn't been as good, I wouldn't have received so much incredible feedback, including such positive responses as "Your main actor's a little Dustin Hoffman" from Academy Award-winning screenwriter Frank Pierson. If I hadn't received so many great comments, I would never have established such a name for myself at the beginning of the year at AFI. If I hadn't established a name for myself at the beginning of the year at AFI, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to work with the best producers, cinematographers, editors, and production designers throughout the year and build a great reputation. If I hadn't built a great repuation, I would never have won the "Director of the Year" award. If I hadn't won the "Director of the Year" award, I wouldn't have been hired by Universal and The Bubble Factory to write a feature length script and be contracted to direct it. If I hadn't been contracted to direct a feature film, my executive producer, Matthew Weaver, would never have gotten Chris Penn's agent to take notice of my second year thesis film at AFI. If Chris Penn didn't take notice of my thesis film, he would have never acted in it. If Chris Penn hadn't acted in it, he wouldn't have convinced Martin Sheen to be in it. If Martin Sheen hadn't acted in this project, this film would never get as much attention as it's going to get. Because this film is going to get a tremendous amount of attention, my life will change forever. Thanks, ScottWorld! Brian Hecker <brianh@pacificnet.net> Los Angeles, CA USA - Tuesday, July 28, 1998 at 23:40:05 (PDT) Scott has done a marvelous job of developing a custom order entry system for our company. It took over two years to get it the way we want it. The two year time frame was necessary to test and implement improvements. During this time Scott was there when we needed him and produced the kind of results that we needed. He did a great job and we are extremely happy with the results he produced.
